WEST LIVE OAK

This architectural gem was built in 1949 and originally designed by California architect, Wallace Neff, as one of his few modern homes. Beginning as a renovation and restoration, this project evolved over the years expanding into the neighboring property to keep up with a growing family and their desire for more dynamic outdoor spaces. Inspired by the mid-century feel of the original home, the furnishings and finishes are updated with warm wood highlights and custom and vintage furnishings. The landscaping on display through the expanse of glass called for translating those textures and colors for the interiors. This project required respect for the history of the property while bringing in the modern personal touches of the new design.
